I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Rochester (UR). I am also affiliated with the Goergen Institute of Data Science. My research lies in data mining and machine learning for social good with applications in material science, healthcare, agriculture, earth science, smart cities, education, political science, and e-commerce. Prior to joining UR, I received my Ph.D. degree in Computer Science at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (UIUC), where I am lucky to be advised by Dr. Hanghang Tong.
